School Zone

The Department of Education & Training have a tool for prospective parents to use to see zoning information called Find My School. Please click on the button below to search your address

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

BSC is not a ‘select entry school’ nor limited by capacity in year 7 and as such may accept students from outside our local area

We aim to make the enrolment process clear, fair, and welcoming for all families

Primary School Transition

Initially, primary schools are responsible for managing the Year 7 application process.

By the first week of term 2, primary schools will have distributed information to the parents of Year 6 children relating to secondary education and an ‘Application for Year 7 Placement’ form. On this application form, parents are asked to list up to three secondary school preferences. If you would like your child to attend Brighton Secondary College, it is important to list us as your first preference.

The information (Placement Information Pack) that is distributed to parents of Year 6 children will outline all relevant dates relating to the Year 7 placement process and more information can be found HERE.

Please contact our Registrar, Sally if you have any questions about the process, our school or are enquiring about a transfer after the school year has commenced.

The dress code has been developed by the Brighton Secondary College School Council in consultation with the school community, ensuring it reflects the values of the school while respecting the rights of individual students.

New uniform items can be purchased from Bob Stewart, located on Centre Road, Bentleigh, the school’s official uniform supplier.

o support families and promote sustainability, the Brighton Secondary College Community Council (BSCCC) – our Parents’ Association – runs second-hand uniform sales each term. These sales provide families with an opportunity to purchase quality pre-loved uniform items at reduced prices.

Brighton Secondary College is committed to ensuring all students can meet uniform requirements. Support is available for families experiencing financial hardship, and families are encouraged to contact the College if assistance is required.
